NBA Champions 1990s
The 1990’s in the NBA were dominated by Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Air Jordan, Scottie Pippen and the Bulls won six of nine championships between 1991 and 1999.
The Houston Rockets won back-to-back championships in 1994 and 1995 to break up a string of three straight titles won by the Bulls in 1991, 1992 and 1993.
In 1996, after Jordan came out of his first retirement, the Bulls won the title again. It was the start of another “three-peat” string as Chicago won the titles in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
The Utah Jazz with Karl Malone and John Stockton were runnersup to the Bulls in both 1997 and 1998, with the Bulls winning both series by 4-2 margins.
