Kobe Bryant Pics

Kobe Bryant has won four championships in the NBA. The first three came shortly after the millennium when he teamed up with Shaquille O’Neal to win three straight titles in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Bryant came close to winning a fourth championship ring in 2004 and 2008 when he led the Lakers to the NBA finals. But the Detroit Pistons won the 2004 crown and the Boston Celtics defeated the Lakers in 2008.

In 2009 Kobe won his fourth championship. He led LA to a 4-1 series victory in the finals against the Orlando Magic. He was the Finals MVP and finished the 2009 playoffs with a 30 point scoring average. His shot a terrific 45% on field goals and 88% at the charity stripe in the playoffs to lead the Lakers to the crown.

Bryant came into the league in 1996 straight out of high school. He had been named National High School Player of the Year the season before by USA Today and Parade Magazine. He was drafted 13th overall in the 1996 draft but not by the Lakers. The Charlotte Hornets drafted Bryant then traded him to LA.
