A NY Dream

LeBron James will become a free agent next year. Will he want to stay in Cleveland or will there be greener pastures?
A similar scenario lies ahead for the Miami Heat. Will they be able to re-sign Dwayne Wade next year when he becomes a free agent?
New York fans were buzzing a few months ago about the possibility that LeBron would want to play in the Big Apple. To me, that is unlikely. LeBron might enjoy being one of the stars in NYC but I think he will also consider which franchise gives him a chance to win an NBA title.
It looks like the Knicks will miss the playoffs this year. How could they piece together a contender to lure LeBron in one year? Seems unlikely to me. Maybe LeBron will have other considerations.
New York fans have been heard dreaming about another free agent possibility as well.
That would be that D Wade might come to the Knicks when he becomes a free agent after next year. Wade has won one title already so maybe the surrounding cast won’t be as important to him.
I even read Cleveland fans were speculating that since the Cavs have cap room, they might try to bring Wade in to play alongside King James. That would be a more powerful one-two than Jordan-Pippen, wouldn’t it.
It’s fun to think about these possibilities for a few moments. But the regular season is winding down and the playoffs will be starting in about 3 weeks. More timely speculation might be how far will Wade and King James take their teams this year.
Will this be the year LeBron gets his first ring or will Kobe get his fourth? And what about Boston? It should be fun.
