D Wade on the Rise
Dwayne Wade has caught fire. In the last 10 days he has had games with 48, 50 and 32 points.
The last three points in the 48-point effort were the game winner at the buzzer in a double-overtime winner against Chicago on March 9.
Two nights later he dropped 32 to help lift the Heat over the defending champion Boston Celtics. Then he topped that effort on March 16 with 50 points in a triple overtime win over Utah.
Sports writers are now talking about whether D Wade should be considered with Kobe Bryant and LeBron James for the 2009 MVP. I love watching him. As a former guard in high school, I love a guard who can drive and dish or drive and dunk.
D Wade can do so much more. I really enjoyed a story by Jackie MacMullen in espn.com. It discusses Wade’s comeback from knee and shoulder injuries. It was published a week ago but I think it still is a great read.
